Increasing Efficiency & Reducing Costs

Austerity, budget cuts, benefits change and other issues are forcing mobile workerhousing providers to look at their operations and take the often difficult but necessary steps and choices to ensure operations are ran efficiently and cost effectively.

Fortunately for our Clients, Yorcoms's extensive technical experience and knowledge, combined with our over 30yrs internal experience of working in and with Social Housing, means we are in a unique position to help.

With Yorcoms’s public networks fully capable of supporting secure "Mobile Working", we can help organisations to achieve both objectives. One provider we’ve been working with, are projected to save £100k per year by mobile workers using the public WiFi network instead of mobile phone data and that doesn't include the additional savings they will make through the many efficiency gains mobile working will bring.

For one of the UK's largest providers, we’ve been rationalising their Corporate Data Connectivity in Supported Living Schemes by securely integration with the managed public WiFi service in each location. Immediate savings were made through the disposal of now redundant Telephone and Broadband lines in each location, all managed and supported by Yorcoms.

For another provider, we designed a secure, corporate private Wireless Network connecting all offices, depots and Supported Living Schemes. The capital investment for this project will be recouped in under 2 years, through an annual saving of £180k on the cost of their current network, based on traditional underground Fibre/Leased Line connectivity. These networks are capable of much more, such as the capability to carry data for services such as CCTV, Door Entry Systems and Security.
